EUR/USD and GBP/USD: US President Donald Trump tests positive for COVID-19. The EU launches legal action against the UK. Upcoming Non-Farm Employment Change Report may raise dollar demand

Donald Trump has announced on Twitter that he and his wife, Melania Trump, tested positive for coronavirus. Most likely, this happened after contact with White House adviser Hope Hicks, who contracted the virus as well, but a bit earlier.

Analysis and trading recommendations for the EUR/USD and GBP/USD pairs on October 1

Strong US statistics should've brought sharp decline in the EUR / USD pair, however, movement yesterday was a lot smaller than expected, amounting to only 20 pips down from the level of 1.1709.
